version 0.07
finally got the 0.07 update done. sorry about the long wait.
what's new in v0.07
- added the first iteration of the character customization system. it doesn't save for now, ended up pushing that for 0.08.
- added a temp basic interface for customizing the player. for now this is accessible through the top face button. (changing clothing palette will come later on. enjoy being orange for now)
- started iterating on the new character model.
- created a few new sets of clothing for each body part.
- small general tuning of the trauma system.
- the head grab while laying down is now more reliable.
- the player now has a max speed. default value 12 meters a second. This is to separate the thruster force from how fast you can go. this makes it possible to make the thrusters strong enough to go up steeper hills, while not also being able to ride in crazy speeds while on flat ground.
in the background I've also started experimenting with the actual flow of the game's future progression and level design. I'm aiming to have the start of the game available in a near ish future update. it probably won't be in 0.08, but hopefully close to it. it's something I really want to get in soon, since it helps ease players into the controls and all the strange features this project has that's so far from standard.
but we'll see. this is a hobby project, so I'm mostly focusing on what I find interesting from day to day.
